My story is about myself

This event took place from 11/12/2020 to 11/09/2025

The Discovery

I was initially diagnosed with chronic pancreatitis of unknown origin in 2019. In October 2020, with the recurrence of stomach pain, I had a marker done, and it was high. After a week, the value had tripled, which
led to more specific tests, such as a PET scan, which confirmed the presence of adenocarcinoma in the tail of the pancreas.

The Impact of Time

Meanwhile, monitoring the pancreatitis allowed me to discover the tumor and undergo surgery. Obviously,
since pancreatic cancer is one of the most serious cancers, the first thing I thought was that I had very little time left. From then on, in addition to the purely clinical time (treatments, checkups, etc.), I began to “observe” my time differently. It was as if I were seeing the world around me and the people in it for the first time.
This made me realize how full and rich my life was. Now, five years later, I believe that every day
spent, every smile given and received, and even every chemotherapy cycle are a gift to my time.

What can I say? Mine is probably a story like many others, my life a little less so… I had polio at 18 months despite
the vaccine. This made my childhood, first, and my adolescence, not exactly easy, but I was fortunate to
have a family and a social network that always supported me and made me the woman I am today.
