We realized that by working collaboratively, we could have a much greater impact than the sum of our parts. So we swiftly moved to action with the launch of the inaugural World Pancreatic Cancer Day in 2014.
World Pancreatic Cancer Day quickly became a global success. Each year, outreach, visibility, and engagement continue to grow across the world.
Because of its success, we decided to take our efforts one step further and launch a formal World Pancreatic Cancer Coalition in 2016 with more than 40 organizations from over 20 countries across the globe.
We’ve never looked back!

Can my organization join the World Pancreatic Cancer Coalition?
Any not-for-profit patient advocacy organization that provides services or disseminates information to those affected by pancreatic cancer can become a member of the World Pancreatic Cancer Coalition.
We also welcome supporter organizations that want to participate in World Pancreatic Cancer Day and support other World Pancreatic Cancer Coalition activities.
Supporter organizations can be formal organizations, networks, or associations that are not-for profit and have an active interest in pancreatic cancer, but are not patient advocacy organizations (for example, medical or research associations).
For more information about becoming a World Pancreatic Cancer Coalition member or supporter, please contact us.
Can individuals join the World Pancreatic Cancer Coalition?
All World Pancreatic Cancer Coalition members are organizations that work with pancreatic cancer patients, their caregivers and family members, and supporters who are united in the fight against this disease. As a coalition, our aim is to strengthen – not duplicate – our member organizations’ efforts across the globe.
As an individual, you can support World Pancreatic Cancer Coalition activities, such as World Pancreatic Cancer Day, or you can work through your local pancreatic cancer organization.
Does the World Pancreatic Cancer Coalition raise money to fund research or other programs, like patient services for pancreatic cancer?
The World Pancreatic Cancer Coalition is not a legal entity and does not raise money to fund research or programs for pancreatic cancer. However, our member organizations fundraise to support these vital activities.
