MISSION
ACOPODI is a non-profit organization committed to the prevention and early detection of cancer in digestive organs such as the esophagus, stomach, pancreas, colon, rectum, bile ducts, and liver. Its work is carried out mainly through the educational program “Healthy Routes”, which promotes awareness about these types of cancer and helps citizens identify risk factors related to lifestyle habits, diet, family history, and other conditions that may influence their development. As part of its educational mission, ACOPODI organizes seminars for individuals with identified risk factors, aiming to foster a culture of prevention and self-care. It also offers a continuing education course for healthcare professionals, focused on scientific advances and best practices for the early detection and prevention of these diseases. Each year, ACOPODI conducts free abdominal ultrasound sessions for participants in the program. These sessions help evaluate liver and abdominal health, provide timely medical guidance, and contribute to building a more informed, healthier society that is committed to the early detection of digestive system cancers.
