Wir haben mit der Universit\u00e4t Sydney das Alex Lopez PhD-Stipendium f\u00fcr Bauchspeicheldr\u00fcsenkrebs eingerichtet. Das Stipendium, das in liebevoller Erinnerung an Alex benannt wurde, spielt eine entscheidende Rolle bei der Gewinnung talentierter Doktoranden aus der ganzen Welt, um die \u00dcberlebensraten von Bauchspeicheldr\u00fcsenkrebs-Patienten zu verbessern. In den letzten 15 Jahren haben sich die Kliniker der University of Sydney in ihrem Lehrkrankenhaus auf dem Royal North Shore Campus zu einem f\u00fchrenden Unternehmen in der Behandlung von Bauchspeicheldr\u00fcsenkrebs entwickelt. Die von ihrem Team behandelten Patienten \u00fcberleben nach der Diagnose fast doppelt so lange wie der Durchschnitt der australischen Patienten mit Bauchspeicheldr\u00fcsenkrebs, die anderswo behandelt werden.
